Bridal Shower Project

I think I mentioned before that I have had a lot of friends get married this year.  The last one is coming up on New Year’s Eve (yes, you heard right).  Anyway, her bridal shower was last weekend and I made her a really neat gift basket of Thank You cards, complete with envelopes and postage stamps!  I was very pleased with how they all turned out.

I absolutely love the colors of this card.  It’s just so warm and relaxing.  For this card I used Old Olive, Very Vanilla and the FABULOUS Haiku DSP.  The chipboard flower is from the retired On Board Blossoms & Basics and the felt flower is from the Flower Fusion set.  All that is topped off with a pewter brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware.  The saying is from the Dreams du Juor stamp set and is stamped in Old Olive and Tangerine Tango.

This card is really fabulous in person.  This was made with the Fresh Cut Notes and Tempting Turquoise.  You can see I tore the edge of the card and glued a piece of Tempting Turquoise on the inside.  Then I used the 2-Way Glue Pen and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make it sparkly.  The ribbon is the 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon in Tempting Turquoise.  I added a felt flower from the Flower Fusion Too set and a So Saffron button from the Fresh Favorites II buttons pack.  The greeting is from the Fresh Cuts stamp set and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise.  This card was very simple to make and yet is very eye-catching!  The best thing is you can change this up in so many ways; just change the colors!

I will post part 2 tomorrow; for now, it’s time for bed!  I’ve been sick the past couple of days so I need to get some rest.
