Ok, I am not very good at posting every day. Mostly because I don’t usually get home until 7pm and I’m just too tired. Oh well. 🙂 Here are the rest of the cards I made for my friend’s bridal shower gift:
This card was made using a Chocolate Chip card base, the retired Close to Cocoa DSP, Very Vanilla card stock and the Chocolate Chip 5/8″ grosgain ribbon. The stamp set I used is the Upsy Daisy set stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. I almost didn’t buy this set but I am quite glad I did; I really like using it! This card is simple and somewhat monotone, but it really works.
For this card I used the same layout as a card I made at one of Robin’s stamp camps; I really like how versatile the layout is. Anyway, the card base is Bashful Blue (my new favorite color) which is layered with Not Quite Navy and strips of Old Olive, Bashful Blue, and the Maine Blueberry DSP. Two of the strips are stamped with stamps from the Fresh Cut Notes stamp set in Versamark Ink. The greeting is stamped on a piece of Whisper White layed on to another piece of Not Quite Navy. The stamp set is the retired Sweet Dreams hostess set. Everything is tied off with a piece of River Rock double-stitched ribbon (also retired).
I think I mentioned before that I have had a lot of friends get married this year. The last one is coming up on New Year’s Eve (yes, you heard right). Anyway, her bridal shower was last weekend and I made her a really neat gift basket of Thank You cards, complete with envelopes and postage stamps! I was very pleased with how they all turned out.
I absolutely love the colors of this card. It’s just so warm and relaxing. For this card I used Old Olive, Very Vanilla and the FABULOUS Haiku DSP. The chipboard flower is from the retired On Board Blossoms & Basics and the felt flower is from the Flower Fusion set. All that is topped off with a pewter brad from the Hodgepodge Hardware. The saying is from the Dreams du Juor stamp set and is stamped in Old Olive and Tangerine Tango.
This card is really fabulous in person. This was made with the Fresh Cut Notes and Tempting Turquoise. You can see I tore the edge of the card and glued a piece of Tempting Turquoise on the inside. Then I used the 2-Way Glue Pen and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to make it sparkly. The ribbon is the 1/4″ Grosgrain ribbon in Tempting Turquoise. I added a felt flower from the Flower Fusion Too set and a So Saffron button from the Fresh Favorites II buttons pack. The greeting is from the Fresh Cuts stamp set and is stamped in Tempting Turquoise. This card was very simple to make and yet is very eye-catching! The best thing is you can change this up in so many ways; just change the colors!
I will post part 2 tomorrow; for now, it’s time for bed! I’ve been sick the past couple of days so I need to get some rest.
