Not only am I getting married in 2 days but many of my friends have been or will be getting married this year. Here is a sample of one of the wedding cards I made for a friend’s wedding in July.

For this card I used Naturals Ivory and Summer Picnic Designer Series Paper and the To Have and To Hold stamp set. I used Stampin’ Pastels and a blender pen for the watercoloring along with a 2-way glue stick and Dazzling Diamonds glitter in the veil. The ribbon is the, now retired, River Rock double-stitched grosgrain ribbon. It’s a very simple card but I find it to be very elegent in its simplicity. I’m also rather proud of the fact that the colors I used matched, almost perfectly, to the wedding colors. :)

Long time no see…

Stampin’ Up! News

The first bit of news that I have to share is the winner of my June contest!  A big congrats to Clythie; she is the big winner of the Escape Bundle (see post below)!  Thank you to all who entered.

The next bit of exicting news I have to share is that the new Fall-Winter catalog is almost here!  The new catalog will begin August 11, 2008.  This means that you only have until August 10th to purchase all of the retiring stamp sets and accessories!  The retiring accessories list will be released July 21st, but the retiring stamp set list is here.

We have also been told that all of the new stamp sets will be die cut! This means that you will not need to cut/trim your rubber stamps before you can begin stamping! This will make stamping even more fun and enjoyable. Here is a quote from Stampin’ Up! regarding the new die cut stamps:
